Mechanical Engineer from Kashmir - Pakistan
My name is Ihtsham HASHMI; I graduated from University of Engineering & Technology, Lahore in January 2006 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. After working in Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Abu Dhabi and Iraq, I finally ended up in beautiful Neuchâtel.
I created this website as an Online portfolio and resume to highlight the areas I like the most and the projects I have worked on. A summary containing many of the projects on this website can be found under portfolio section.
My Expertise
I feel very comfortable with CAD using state of art design softwares like PTC Creo, FEA analysis, mechanism designs & simulations, strength of materials being my favorite subject. I have pretty good experience in R&D, project management; manufacturing of the design components, assembly & testing and integration issues of the manufactured parts, production-floor management. Additionally, I have a solid grip over project planning & control, good business
development, sales and customer service skills, analysis & resolution of technical issues, reporting,
information sharing & active liaison between teams/departments and have team leadership
competence.
I am a conscientious person who works hard and pays attention to detail. I'm flexible, good team-player and always eager to learn from others. I am an advanced user of engineering/computer softwares and highly responsive to pick new skills if exposed to new technology or work experience.
CAD
I have pretty good experience with Creo, though worked on other packages too.
CAM
Since BSc, I have good experience & working knowledge of CNCs & CAM softwares.
Drawings
I am good at managing/producing technical drawings and date pack controls too.
R&D
Experimental research work is something I feel very comfortable with. I enjoy working on different R&D projects, information/data collation & processing etc.
IT
IT applications & different advanced software packages have always been a source of fascination to me and I get expertise with them within no time if exposed to.
Communication
Due to sharp IT skills, I have pretty good presentation and communication skills. Due to which I have experience of delivering lectures & technical trainings too.
Work Experience
Due to two degrees Bachelors and Master in two different Engineering domains; Mechanical & Oil & Gas Production Engineering, I have extensive Techno-Managerial experience in both areas; engineering design & manufacturing; planning, supervision & execution of design, quality and manufacturing processes/operations.

Petroleum institute is top-notch premier engineering university of the Gulf region, located in Abu Dhabi United Arab Emirates, offers a variety of engineering degrees and is funded by a consortium of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) and international oil companies.
I worked as a Research Assistant at production engineering laboratory, primarily engaged in research and development activities. Meanwhile, I completed Master of Science degree in the part-time with distinction and was able to produce three research publications.
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
University of Engineering & Technology, Lahore - Pakistan.
The University of Engineering and Technology is an oldest public research university located in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. Established in 1921, it is one of the best institutions of higher learning in the country and ranks 3rd in Engineering and Technology by HEC in the latest ranking. In addition, the university ranks at 281 among world engineering universities. The university is one of the oldest university in South Asia to start engineering degrees.
I completed Bachelor of Science degree with 4.0/4.0 CGPA along-with many other honors and awards.
